I wasn't done!!!

Just because I hit the wrong button, the stupid computer goes off on it's own when I wasn't even finished!! So now to complete my Valentine's night. I also got to use my new fondue pot. I made chocolate fondue and cut up pound cake and bananas to dip in it. It's soooo easy.

12 oz. milk choc. bars
10 marsh mellows
1/2 c. whipping cream
That's It, and its' GOOD!!!
now I'm finished!

Valentine

Hope everyone had a nice Valentine's Day. We decided to stay at home and have a nice meal . I found this recipe for a fish marinate, it is really very good.

6T. oil
6T. orange juice
1t. salt
1 t. ginger
1 t. pepper (I use more)
zest from 1 orange
put in plastic bag along with the fish, marinate for about 1 hour, then grill

Super Bowl Sunday

Yep, today was super bowl day. Alan couldn't stand not having a bigger tv for the event, so he went last night and bought a 52 inch. I must admit it is very nice to watch my cooking shows on. He also got this electric fireplace on sale at Lowe's. Of course the flames don't look as nice a real one, but for us it will do. Just enough to make it feel cozy. Phillip and Jeff and families came over to watch the ballgame, I fixed pizza's, cheese dip, and brownies. Most of it was eaten.

Better Day

Just when you think that ice is such a pain, you look outside and see the beauty and God's hand in it when the sun shines on it. Things are better this morning, cars are going by, so the roads are at least passable. It is still snowing alittle, but that's nothing after ice. At least we haven't lost power like so many people south of here. Last count 200,000 homes without power. I feel very fortunate.

Ice Storm

I woke up this morning to ice stuck on everything!! I didn't even go to work because I knew that no one would want to get out in this. All the grandkids came over and brought their sleds. The ice sure makes a fast track! The grown up boys all played frizbee golf while it was raining down ice. Some guys just never grow up. If you look close at Jeff's beard, he has ice in it.

I DID IT!!!!!!

I did it, I actually did it. Well, with Angie's help I did it. There's no stopping me now.!

Just Waiting

I am so disappointed that I can't get onto the the website that has all the cute backgrounds!! It's suppose to be up and running soon, until then ya'll have to look at my boring page. I keep waiting for new pictures that Angie is suppose to take EVERYDAY. How bout it Ang?
