Christmas

Another Year has come and gone. It makes me alittle sad in a way. I missed my little girl and Jim being here. And of course we all missed my nephew, Brian who passed away a few weeks ago. Grandma Lillie bought everybody big cans of popcorn this year. She usually makes jelly, but she just wasn't up to it this year. Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas.

Christmas Story

I have this wonderful Christmas story that I heard on the news this morning. Last night before I went to bed, a news alert came on about this little Amish girl 3 years old had fallen out of the back of the buggy and the parents didn't know until they got home. Everybody in the area went looking for her and couldn't find her. It got down to 14 degrees last night. This morning a lady on her way to work saw the little girl huddled down in a ditch with nothing on but a sweater. She said her face was still warm. Now tell me there is no God!!!!

My Thanksgiving Travel

Well, I am back from our pilgrimage to Ms. I couldn't believe the difference in the temperature from Mo. to Ms. As you can see further on down, they still have flowers growing, and all we have is dead stems from the flowers that have died. All in all it was a nice trip. It did rain on us ALL the way home on Saturday. I got to go shopping on Black Friday at a brand new mall in Madison, Ms. where we stayed. I was very surprised to find that there wasn't but a handful of people out shopping. Maybe it was the nasty weather, or maybe it was the economy, I'm not sure. Or maybe it was because everything I picked up was over $100.00!! We are cutting back a lot this Christmas, as are many other people I've talked to. I have gotten a lot of mine done, with the exception of my daughter, who isn't going to get anything if she doesn't call her mother!!! Santa Claus is coming to town!!

yes people, Santa will be here before you know it, so you'd better be good. I was bored with football today, so I decided to put up my Christmas tree and some decorations. I know that all the neighbors will be laughing at me, but I can't help it if they are not in the spirit.

Leaves are almost all off the trees, which makes our yard a big leaf pile!!! The girls had blast jumping in the big piles I raked up for them.

Ok, so we have this cow that keeps getting out of our fence. So me and Jeremy decided to fix him so he wouldn't get out again. This is what we came up with. Guess what, he got out anyway. I don't know what happened to our invention around his neck, but it was gone the next morning.

Birthday's

Yesterday was my granddaughter, Brandilyn's birthday. I never got to talk to her, but I did text her, wishing her a happy one. She is having a party on Sunday afternoon. October really hits me when it comes to birthdays!!! In October I have two grandsons, one granddaughter, Alan's, and one of my brothers. I could never quit work!!! Happy birthday Brandilyn!!

Relaxing

This is where I do my most thinking, reading, and just soul searching. I love it when the humming birds are flying around, but I guess they have gone for the winter. It is suppose to freeze in a few days, so I'd better enjoy it while I can.

Autumn Time

Today was absolutely beautiful!! I raked some of the leaves that had fallen. Some are starting to turn colors. Next week it should be gorgeous. I will try to post some of the trees.

My daughter got me into this

My daughter has gotten me interested in blogging. I'm not very good at it, but maybe with some time, who knows!! These are my grandson's Jeremy and Jacob. They both had birthdays this week, so Happy Birthday boys!!
